Who We Are

Hamlin Veterinary Clinic is a full-service animal hospital run by Dr. Paramesh Kurapati and our dedicated veterinary team. Together, we’re committed to the care of dogs, cats, and exotic pets in Hamlin, Wayne, Pike, and Lackawanna Counties.

Dr. K is fully aware of the time, love, and dedication it takes to care for a pet. Through personalized veterinary care, we support your efforts every step of the way. Whether your furry friend needs routine services, medical treatment, or emergency care, you can have confidence that he’s in good hands. Dr. K is your local vet specialist, house call vet, and emergency vet all rolled up into one.

What We Do

Your Hamlet vet near you offers preventive, medical, surgical, and emergency vet care. If you can’t come to our clinic for the care your pet needs, your house call vet will come to you to provide quality care. Through preventive care, our animal hospital can help keep your pet healthy and strong long-term. Preventive services like annual exams, diagnostics, vaccinations, dietary counseling, and parasite control help prevent health issues before they start.

Annual pet exams enable us to detect problems early before they become major issues that can seriously impair your pet’s health. Like people, pets are prone to all kinds of illnesses. Through preventive care, we can stay one step ahead of veterinary problems to protect and preserve your pet’s health.

A vet near you also offers medical treatments for common dog and cat issues like ear and eye infections, diabetes, skin problems, allergies, digestive and respiratory issues, and more. If your pet requires surgery to treat a health condition or injury, our team is up to the task. We’ll explain all aspects of your pet’s surgical treatment in advance so you’ll know what to expect. In the event of an emergency, your Hamlin veterinarian offers prompt and effective emergency vet care.

Dental Care

When was the last time you had your pet’s teeth cleaned? According to the AVMA, pets who have never had a teeth cleaning have signs of dental disease by the time they are three years old. For that reason, Hamlin Veterinary Clinic recommends that all pets have a yearly dental cleaning and oral examination.
